High School Fall Athletics Statement

The FAA continues to believe strongly in having our student athletes fully vaccinated against Covid and continues to strongly recommend that every player, coach and manager protect themselves with these medically proven measures to maintain individual and community health.  

Based on the fact that FAA schools have a very high vaccination rate, we have made the decision to drop the vaccination requirement (and subsequent testing requirement) for the upcoming Winter season.  

The FAA reserves the right to reinstate vaccine mandates should conditions warrant.  

Additionally, it is incumbent on each school to allow only healthy athletes to participate in interscholastic events.  Students who exhibit any symptoms of the virus must be held out of play or be tested prior to the contest.  This is the responsibility of each school/team and one that should not be taken lightly.
